Come for the beach.
Stay for the food.

You’re on holiday. Let us cook for you.

We don’t have an early breakfast time because we think days should start leisurely. Breakfast runs from 8.45 until 10’ish, but all things are changeable with a little notice.

Everything is freshly cooked to order. Sip a Pilgrims coffee made from their very own roastery on nearby Holy Island. Choose from a large tea selection for those who know their Rington’s brew from their Lapsang Souchong.

Come for the beach. Stay for the food.

From the kitchen

We think hearty starts with the best breakfast in the village. Take your pick from our breakfast quesadilla or smashed avocado on toast. Indulge in a Full English or sample the locally sourced smoked salmon on toasted sourdough. Stay with us at the weekend and you may discover our weekend specials too.

Sweet Treats

Sometimes, you just need cake. Which is why every afternoon at St Valery gives you the chance to recharge after a day’s beachcombing, walking, cycling, or sunning. Check in for the daily bake-off where sweet treats await.

Local Produce

Butcher. Baker. Candlestick maker. With so many brilliant suppliers around us, all our food is fresh and local wherever possible.

A Proper Cup of Tea

Rington’s Tea (made just down the road in Newcastle) and Pilgrim’s Fair Trade coffee is all in your room. All the yummy treats to tuck into like biscuits and tray bakes are replenished daily.

Honesty Bar

Help yourself to a drink from the St Valery honesty bar. Perfect for a glass of wine before dinner, a cold lager on a hot day, a large G&T just because, right the way through to the post walk brandy to warm the cockles on the coldest of days. There are even perfectly sized bottles of champagne for two. Or one, if you’re thirsty.

Scott’s Boxes

Going out for the day?  Then a picnic in a jute bag from our local deli, Scott’s is just the job.  Pick from a range of hot and cold sandwiches, quiche, frittata, scones, frangipane tarts, pan au raisin, cakes and traybakes, to name but a few. Simply order at the deli and collect when required, or they’ll drop them round for you.  Visit: www.scottsofalnmouth.com

The Sun Inn

Booking restaurants during your stay is strongly recommended as most places do get fully booked (some weeks in advance)  – for more information on our favourite spots to eat, see our INFO section.
