Big Paws, Little Paws

Dogs are always welcome at St Valery, Alnmouth.

We’re not just dog friendly. We’re dog-amazing. We love a friendly, furry face in our Alnmouth retreat.

As soon as you step in you’ll find everything for the right kind of doggy holiday. In your room you’ll find a bowl and handmade treats and we’re happy to provide a bed and a towel for sandy paws after time spent on the beach should you want to travel light – just let us know before you arrive.

Forgotten dinner? No worries, just ask Roxy to share some of hers, there are spare cans in the kitchen. You can take dogs many places for dinner in Alnmouth so if you’d like our advice on the best spots – then just let us know.

Our dog friendly accommodation is on the ground floor and we charge an extra £20 per dog per stay. We typically accept up to two small-medium sized dogs over the age of 6 months in our dog-friendly room at any one time and keep our other rooms totally pet free.  If you have larger dogs, please just call us to check.

Roxy Rules

Meet Roxy the house dog. There aren’t many rules at St Valery, but we do have some:

• No jumping on beds or furniture
• No howling, barking or singing
• No coming in the kitchen
• No dogs in the dining room when breakfast is served
• No pooping in the garden please
• No running around off your lead inside

That’s it. We think your favourite four-legged thing should be able to relax with you wherever you go. Which is why at St Valery we welcome dogs in the ground  floor bedroom, the breakfast & bar room (after we’ve cleared all that tempting food away) and of course, the garden.
